As a first-generation Bahamian-American and the first football player in his family, Bootle has always been determined to excel in every aspect of the game, both on and off the field.
During his time at Miami Killian and Southridge, Bootle proved himself to be a standout athlete, showcasing his skills in both football and track and field. His natural talent did not go unnoticed, as he was ranked among the nation’s top 60 cornerbacks by ESPN and named as one of the top 200 prospects in Florida by 247Sports.
At the University of Nebraska, Bootle continued to shine, serving as a team captain, a three-year starter, and earning All-Big Ten honors in 2018 and 2019. It was no surprise when he was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2021, where he quickly made a name for himself on the Practice Squad with his incredible coverage skills, ability to read offenses, and fearless approach to the game.
